Facilities registered to O.Reg.530/18: Air Pollution - Discharge of Sulphur Dioxide from Petroleum Facilities are subject to a discharge limit of 225 kg sulphur dioxide in a 24-period when they are experiencing an upset of their sulphur recovery process unit. This limit came into effect on July 1, 2019. If a facility exceeds the limit, within 60-days they must report on their website the amount of sulpuhr dioxide released from the event.
